FOOTBALL HANDICAPPING RESOURCES -- BOOKS AND MANUALS

At Logical Approach we have a national reputation for high quality in our services, selections and products. If you do your own handicapping and analysis we offer these books and manuals to point you in the winning direction to the winning selection.

1. THE LOGICAL APPROACH METHOD. This statistical handicapping tool works for both college and pro football. Utilizing comparative analysis, the Method enables you to determine an accurate line between two teams using basic team stats (rushing, passing, points, etc.). You need only to know basic math and a pocket calculator will greatly speed up the handicapping process. Simply do the math and compare the result to the pointspread to determine the selection and its strength (1 to 5 Stars). The Manual details the needed stats and includes comprehensive examples showing you how to do the Method. The Method has a winning record for over 10 years, producing handsome profits and withstanding the test of time. The Method is also available as a computer product (our Computer Software page has details). Both this version of the Method and the software version give the same results and are identical in every way except that the software saves considerable time. Price is $40.oo. Available Now.

1a. LOGICAL APPROACH METHOD WEEKLY PROJECTIONS SERVICE -- If you don't have the time or the resources to do the calculations every week let's us do the work for you. Once the Method kicks in -- after four games -- we will email you each week the Projections for all games. The Method generally begins around mid-October and runs right through the College Bowls, NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl. For e-mail delivery only the cost is $50.oo; if you would also like the Projections to be sent by regular US Mail the cost is $60.00.

2. COLLEGE FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE RATINGS INDEX. Ever wonder what to make of a 56-0 win by Oklahoma over Montana? Was it that impressive or perhaps they should have won by 70? Or how about a Clemson victory over VMI by 21-17? Or a 23-10 upset by Furman over Duke? Or how much better is Washington than Oregon? With our unique College Football Ratings Index you get an accurate measure of all Division I-A and (unlike most Power Ratings) I-AA teams. Even though there aren't lines on most I-AA games, many major colleges do play schools from Division I-AA and those results need to be assessed as to the quality of their performance vs. those lesser foes. Maybe Furman's win wasn't an upset? We've used the Ratings with great success for over 35 years. They are based on a simple formula that takes about 30 minutes per week to update for over 235 colleges. The package comes with pre-season 2011 Ratings plus a Manual that explains the Ratings, how to handicap with them (including developing 1 to 5 Star selections) and how to update the Ratings each week. If you update them yourself you never have to spend another penny. This is a one time investment in college handicapping that will serve you well for years to come. We do offer a weekly service that provides you with updated weekly Ratings if you don't have the time to do them yourself. Price for the Ratings Index Manual with 2011 pre-season Ratings is $30.oo. The Weekly Update Service is also $30.oo but if you order the Ratings and a weekly subscription at the same time the package cost is just $50.oo. Available Now.
